SENIOR CITIZEN SUPPORT

Our Senior Citizen Support program provides food, fun, and fellowship to under-served senior citizens. Our seniors, or Grannies as we like to call them, gather on Fridays for a noon meal, fellowship, and their favorite game, BINGO! Throughout the year, our staff stays connected with our Grannies by assisting with day-to-day needs and addressing issues of social isolation. Seniors must be signed up in advance to participate. Currently, there is a waiting list for the program, but interested please contact Juanita at Wesley House at (865)524-5494 or fill out an application and email it to SeniorCitizenSupport@wesleyhouseknox.org.

Success Story: Ms. Annette

Ms. Annette (left) is part of Wesley House’s resident Senior Citizen Support mother-daughter duo. Ms. Frances, her mother, is 94 years old and has been coming to Wesley House for 20 years. Ms. Annette, began attending Wesley House shortly after and loves to get the conversations going on the bus to their weekly lunches. Wesley House wouldn’t be the same without Ms. Annette!
